About Fasting With Juicing

Fasting with juicing is fast becoming a method of preferred detoxification to the body.  Today, more and more people are finding it to be a great way to clean out their system and to drop a few pounds in the process as well.  But, in order to be successful, you need to do juicing in the right manner with the right foods.  Can a juicing diet solve all of your medical problems?  Most likely this is not the case.  But fasting with juicing has shown to improve some health problems, improve your mental stability and your overall well being.

 

How To Use A Juice Diet

 

There are several things to consider about a juicing diet.

 

  1. When?  You should do a juicing diet during the warmer months of the year and block out several days in which to do it.  You should insure that you only do juicing diets at the most twice per year.  Plan to do it on your vacation, when you can be less stressed.  Only fast for less than three days. 
  2. Getting Started.  Before you begin to fast, plan that the seven days before should not include alcohol, caffeine, sugar, wheat, animal meat, dairy and fish products.  You want to keep your diet during these few weeks to just fruits, vegetables and beans that are organic.  A 36 hour fasting should start at 6pm until 8am, 36 hours later. 
  3. There are variations that may allow for the consumption of some whole fruits and vegetables, some that may include one well balanced meal or some that will allow for light meals during the fast.  Make sure that the fasting that you do does not interfere with your health or your medications.

Now, What Do I Eat?

 

Now that you know the basics of how a juice diet works, you will be able to see the benefits from it.  Of course, for this to happen, you need to be able to secure the right products in your juice diet.  To help you with that, follow these tips.

 

  • Consume at least 32 ounces up to 64 ounces of juice per day.  You do not want to go less than this. 
  • In that juice, you want to have a mixing that is 3 parts filtered, purified water to one part juice.  It is acceptable for you to consume juice that not as diluted if you would like to.
  • You can mix juices of various types if you would like to.  Some great choices for your juice diet include things like cranberry, apple, spinach, cabbage, and carrots.  You can mix virtually any that you would like to, but try to avoid citrus or other acid types of vegetables and fruits.
  • Go for organic.  You are limiting the amount of nutrients that go into your body to help detoxify it.  Therefore, you do not want to do more damage by consuming foods that are covered with chemicals.  You can find a wide range of organic foods throughout your local grocery store in most cases.  These foods are a necessary part of the juice diet for their high quality and low toxin factors.

In order for your juicing diet to have a good result, you need to insure that you purchase the highest quality produce.  You should also take note of the fact that juicing diets are not things you will want to be on for very long.  You can benefit from fasting with juicing and get rid of harmful toxins, but do not abuse juicing diets. And don't forget to consult your doctor especially if you are on any types of medications.
